For first-class malt, you need two things: expertise in the malting trade and the best grain. 170 years of experience combined with state-of-the-art technology make IREKS a specialist in malt production.

Our experience in the production of malt dates back to our company founder Johann Peter Ruckdeschel, who opened his own commercial malthouse as a master brewer in 1856. Today, the IREKS product range consists of numerous base and speciality malts, such as our caramel and roasted malts or our aroma and sour malts. This makes us one of the largest producers of speciality malts worldwide.

 

Our clientele is as diverse as are our malts. Around the world, large breweries, pub breweries and craft brewers rely on working with IREKS to further develop their individual profile and brew unique beers from outstanding malt.
